Creating Jobs, Building an Industry: Seaspan a strategic partner in Canadian Shipbuilding Strategy

Share

Seaspan Shipyards is proud to be Canada’s long-term, strategic shipbuilding partner for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. As a direct result of this work, Seaspan Shipyards is delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians, while creating jobs and rebuilding our domestic shipbuilding industry.  Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy, the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since World War II. The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Through its NSS–related work, Seaspan Shipyards is leading the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians. As part of our NSS commitment, Seaspan Shipyards is helping to rebuild Canada’s marine industry and allowing Seaspan to contribute to the development of a sustainable marine industry that can serve Canada for years to come, while realizing opportunities in other markets. As strategic partner under Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) and a growing reputation as a center of excellence in ship building, repair, conversion and service, Seaspan Shipyards is a significant economic engine for BC and for Canada.   Learn more at https://nss.seaspan.com/
