Environmental Remediation

Envirocon has the technical expertise and project experience to support a wide array of environmental projects while meeting safety, quality, regulatory, budget, and schedule requirements. We have safely delivered projects such as contaminated soil excavation in urban and remote settings; sediment dredging, removal, and dewatering projects in lakes and rivers; closure of coal ash impoundments and basins; and construction, operation, and capping of repositories and landfills. Our focus on operational excellence allows clients to benefit from best practices across areas of expertise, from project planning and startup through delivery and operations.

Ecological Restoration

We are committed to protecting and restoring our environment and recognize the importance of sustaining environmentally sensitive ecosystems. Our project resume includes major dam removal and river restoration projects, habitat restoration in riverine settings, wetlands mitigation and construction, and levee reinforcement projects. Envirocon’s understanding, innovation, and safe and successful execution of these critical ecological projects is reinforced by our company vision to return sustainability to our environment.

Geotechnical Construction

Envirocon’s geotechnical construction projects include some of the longest and deepest slurry and reactive barrier walls in the US. We provide sheetpile containment and excavation support systems, soil mix containment and foundation systems, and in-situ stabilization and treatment. Slurry trenching techniques include soil bentonite slurry walls for civil applications, including levee strengthening and groundwater management; bio-polymer collection trenches with biodegradable slurry for slope stabilization, groundwater collection, and dewatering applications; and zero-valent iron permeable reactive barriers to treat groundwater. Envirocon’s in-situ stabilization expertise includes column drilling and stabilization with reagents for deeper applications; bucket mixing technology for shallower applications; and hydraulically applied jet grouting.

Decommissioning & Demolition

Safe execution is our highest priority on our decommissioning and demolition (D&D) projects. We have performed D&D projects at some of the most complex sites in the nation including Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Rocky Flats Environmental Technology site. We serve government and private clients across the nation delivering safe D&D projects in challenging environments where schedules are aggressive, assets must be protected, and environmental requirements met. Our project resume includes demolition of coal-fired power plants, aluminum smelters, paper mills, manufacturing plants and industrial facilities, and chemical weapons plants.
