Effective immediately, Envirocon, Inc. (“Envirocon”) has appointed Greg Therrien as President and CEO. He brings over 34 years of construction and engineering industry experience which includes senior leadership positions with Morrison-Knudsen (MK), Washington Group International (WGI), and URS Corporation.

Greg has overseen projects and company offices in 36 US states and 21 countries. Director Larry Simkins said, “Envirocon and the Washington Companies are fortunate to have such a highly respected industry leader join our team. Greg is well known and admired by the Board and many of us in management who were fortunate to work with him during his career. We all look forward to working closely with Greg again.”

Greg was previously the General Manager of URS’s Civil Construction and Mining Group, based in Boise, ID, and Denver, CO. He was responsible for the Heavy Civil Construction and Mining projects world-wide. Prior to that, he was President of WGI’s Infrastructure Group, serving Federal, State, and Local government divisions as well as private sector clients in Global Heavy Civil Construction and Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Operations, and Maintenance. Greg spent 20 years in MK’s Industrial Process Division, completing his term as President of the division, after advancing through varied roles in construction and field engineering, and the positions of Project Manager, Area Manager, Senior VP of Automotive, Manufacturing, and Buildings group, and Executive VP of Operations.

Greg was actively involved in the successive mergers of Raytheon and Morrison-Knudsen’s respective Industrial and Infrastructure divisions, WGI’s Infrastructure and Mining divisions, and the WGI and URS Civil and Mining engineering resources.

In his unending commitment to jobsite and workplace safety, Greg was one of WGI’s first Division Presidents to become certified as a Safety Trained Supervisor. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Washington State University (WSU). He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and is an Emeritus member of the Beavers. He has previously served on the Board of the Beavers, and on the Executive Leadership Board for WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture.

Greg replaces Mark Fallon, who has been President of Envirocon since 2016. Mark also served as President of Modern Machinery, Inc., another Washington Company, and is leaving to pursue an opportunity in the construction industry. We appreciate Mark’s leadership and guidance during his time at both companies.
