Harly Penner was named President, Seaspan Energy on January 1, 2025.

Harly joined Seaspan Ferries in 2012 as Port Engineer & Manager, New Vessel Program and has held progressively more senior roles with Seaspan ever since. In his role as President, Harly is responsible for managing and developing Seaspan’s Energy business, which includes LNG Bunkering, alternative fuels, and joint venture energy projects.

Harly holds an MBA in Maritime Business and Logistics Management from the University of Tasmania and Australian Maritime College, as well as a Bachelor’s of Technology in Nautical Science / Marine Engineering (Honours) from Cape Breton University and Canadian Coast Guard College.
